yeah this pissed me off so much. I only subscribe to Netflix from May-August when it's my peak travel season but there's fuck all on there. definatley not worth the $20+ plan. I'm just gonna start renting movies on youtube. it will be cheaper

we use a Chrome Cast to get our movies and tv off of apps and onto our TV in the living room - Netflix has paywalled it :) no one on Basic with Ads can use a Chrome Cast :) still furious lolololololol

Poor families: find the computer guy. Pay him to create a family Jellyfin server and load all your physical and digital media into it, creating your own streaming service. You can even set up separate accounts for family members. You cannot charge anyone for those accounts, but it is an economic way to provide streaming entertainment at minimal cost to multiple generations and branches of your family.

not long time ago, we could cast Netflix from mobile to TVs without having to log into our accounts on TV, but Netflix hates their customers

Is it that it can’t play with ads, or is it locked because the basic Netflix is limited to one household and doesn’t want you to use it in another location because that could be password sharing?
