This is why China looked like 20 years ago. You know what they’ve done within 20 years to not look like this? They planted 6 billion freaking trees instead of chopping trees down for data centers(which they put off shore and in high altitude regions to naturally cool down)

This is climate change idk why people are so set against the idea of it. “It started from a train fire” that grew exponentially out of control due to dry and hot temperatures that are above average for the regions. Yes temperate forests in Canada have always had wildfires, what IS wrong is that it’s spreading to Boreal Forests who don’t typically have wildfires because of its climate. Fire is an important ecological system, however, not all environments use fire and have the same mechanisms to grow after them (like boreal forests). Please read scientific journals by fire ecologists and not libertarian think tanks that are twisting science around to deny climate change’s impact on Canadian lives. There should be accountability held by the government because they are not allocating enough budget to wildfire forestry management; how they refuse to completely give up fossil fuels; and their continued failure to consult First Nations leaders on taking care of the land they have been stewards for millennia
