Em editorial na CNN Brasil, o jornalista William Waack criticou duramente a decisão do ministro Cássio Nunes Marques, presidente do TSE, que suspendeu uma pesquisa da Atlas Intel que mostrava perdas para Flávio Bolsonaro após a divulgação de áudios com Daniel Vorcaro. Waack classificou a medida como absurda, afirmando que suspender uma pesquisa que já havia sido publicada é o mesmo que “fechar a porteira depois que a vaca foi pro brejo”. O jornalista ainda apontou que Nunes Marques se autonomeou relator da ação de forma artificial e criticou fortemente o argumento usado na decisão, comparando-o a invalidar a Teoria da Relatividade só porque Einstein emitiu algum juízo de valor sobre ela. Waack alertou que a decisão do TSE levanta graves questionamentos sobre liberdade de imprensa e de expressão.
