One of our biggest fights was because of this. 4 months pp and found out I was pregnant with our second like 2 weeks before. Told him for my birthday all I wanted was a planned day together since I’m always the planner. He tried to pawn the planning on his sisters, when that fell through he told me I could take his CC and plan my own day. Didn’t want the money wanted to be planned for.

I believe that all marriages should be 50/50 and spouse’s should regularly serve one another. That being said …..your idea may work for a very limited time. But then the Goal Post moves. Most likely the wife will begin to critique the smallest details and criticize every decision. Every married man knows that he must exceed this week what did last week or he is just bum/jerk. The cycle never ends. Why do think many married men just give up ? I would bet money your opinion on the subject had already changed to include more details of how a husband fails.
