Claudia's ghost wasn't Claudia. it was a set up between Lestat and Merick to bring Louis back to reality; they kept making eye contact with eachother and signaling. Fraudia 2.0 made too many contradictions in her monologue and whatever spirit "possessed" Merrick (if she even was) screwed up by looking at Lestat and calling him Louis, as the spirit didn't know who was who. Earlier in the episode, Louis asked Lestat "why are you being so nice" because Lestat knew what was coming.

SPOILERS from the book: when this scene happens, Merrick tries to warn Louis that whatever comes out may not actually be Claudia. They omitted that part from the show & I think it’s because they’re going to do something similar - maybe some other kind of deceit -, but I don’t think that’s Claudia at all. The seance scene, in the book, also happens WAY after where we currently are in the show, so it can really go anywhere

Ghost Claudia mentioned multiple inconsistencies. why did she say he rehearsed her death with Antoinette??? Antoinette wasn't part of the trial. I think it might have been a trickster spirit bc that made no sense why Claudia would say that?

We've never gotten a completely uncensored, authentic version of Claudia. Her journals aren't even 100%, so I feel like we won't get to see her true self or where she ended up.

I interpret it as being Claudia. Just as I did in the books. Yes Merrick warns him you cant ever actually trust what's coming through but theres nothing that indicates its not her. And Anne never hints to anything more than that in any of the follow up books. So unless the show deviates from the source material one presumes its the same. And after everything Claudia went through, everything she says at the seance is valid af.

book spoilers, but claudia literally stabbed louis at least once (it may have been twice? it’s been a minute) and she spends the entire seance telling him to off himself. she hates his ass DEEPLY and she always has. this rage is the most accurate we’ve ever seen her.

I think that these theories are good but I believed from the start just like Daniel pointed out that it didn’t seem like Claudia liked Louis much. It seemed like she tolerated him. And when she was staring at least and talking to Louis I don’t think it’s because she didn’t know who was who. When she passed she told Lestat not to break the stare. I won’t say she didn’t love both of them in some messed up way. But I do believe she truly hates Louis.
