I remember being with my sister-in-law because my brother-in-law and my husband were working 15 hours away, and we were the only family she had there. The moment everything went silent, I immediately looked toward the window and said, "Please, God... let this beautiful life live. Please don't take him." Those 30 seconds felt like 40 years. Time completely stopped. Every second felt endless, and all I could do was pray. Then he let out the loudest cry. It was so loud, so powerful, and in that instant, I knew he was going to make it. I'll never forget that sound for as long as I live.
