We have a homebrew rule that when you fall below 0 hit points and you gain hit points from a source OTHER than a short or long rest, you gain an exhaustion level, therefore it feels like there’s a consequence for going below 0 hit points and the exhaustion condition can be used in more situations

I thought of a fun feat : survivor/ wilderness training/ theater kid: when under exhaustion ignore one level, can recover 1/2 a level with short rest.

cast Flesh to Air (cousin spell of Flesh to Stone, not to be confused with Stone to Flesh) on the infected person and the tadpole should fall out harmlessly, and your friend is a skeleton until the effect wears off and their skin comes back from being Air

Oh we always use exhaustion, been the bane of our existence at a few points. You're not alive until you're trekking across the mountains of Aiselandia on 4 levels of exhaustion looking for shelter.
