This is definitely the most educational post I've come across here. Most of the points he made I had to learn the hard way when I got into a startup that was serving S&P500 companies or alike. I went into the first meetings with a very startup oriented approach neglecting the fact that all the small details matter such a saying the obvious, never assuming anything, get a verbal agreement on a point, be diligent with notes during the calls and following up with deliverabls and discussion points, being timely and professional. Excellent points and all are valid to the tee.

1.Do no use jargon 2.Pause 3.Look for opportunities to give the client advice contrary to your own interests 4.Ask open ended questions 5.Be positive and upbeat 6.Be careful mixing business and pleasure 7.Stay humble, it's endearing 8.Be available & responsive to the client. 9.Take a position. 10. Control the meeting 11.Have an agenda written down
