I think it was actually a great idea bcs it allows us to learn about the family lineage each character belongs to. On top of that I believe this approach is more inclusive and makes it easier for everyone to identify with the characters as a white girl I don’t feel there’s a huge gap between the aura of the show and the books characters aside from the difference in skin color

Im sorry but their casting wasnt occurate at all 😭 ; their mother Laena was half black & white and their dad Daemon being full white.... they should have come out "lighter" or more white than in the series tho

I have nothing against PoC, but according to this logic, Viserys should be at least dark, because his great-grandmother, Jayheris' mother, was Velarion (Ainis' wife - Alyssa Velarion). Also, all Targaryen should be a little dark in some way, since the mother of Aegon the Conqueror was Valeina Velarion. There's a mistake in the logic itself 😬

It has nothing to do with their skin color or facial features. It’s the poor, dirty-looking characterization they were given. Because when I see fan art like this, I honestly think that with more appropriate characterization, they would have looked incredible.
