I'm sorry that, that happened to you and your mum at the preschool. I hope that people have treated you and your family with more respect since then. Australia has a huge problem with people being ignorant and just saying that something is "too hard". It's really not that hard at all to call someone their name. Also "bright brightness" is a wonderful meaning to your name. Especially considering your a comedian and comedy is something that often brings brightness to people's day!

mate my names 민주, as in 옥돌 민 (jade) 구슬 주 (marble/bead). when I was younger I just went along with it because I thought it sounded cool. when I got older, I asked why my name was essentially jade bead. and my dad just said "비싸서". also, my name in english is just spelt Minju. now, most people get it, but before, some people called me Minyoo, and at one point, someone called me Emu during roll call
