I’m 60. Recently retired. I run 30 to 40 miles a week. Never been fitter or healthier.

Terry The Singing Grandad :
This is exactly how I was with both my beloved Mum and Dad, I held their hands on the eve of both their passing (2010 & 2015).
Theirs was a labour of love.
I'm now almost 69 and I too am tired, my children are and always have been my labour of love, but, sadly times have changed and the world is a very different place now, and I don't blame my children or anyone of those who follow our generation, it's just how it is now. Either way even if my hands aren't held in my final days I shall know that I gave them the very best of me.
This is a beautiful post even though it might be a tad sad and poignant.

Tired?😥 I'm done, I don't get a call unless it's bad news or something they need. We did all the right things, the homework, the vomit cleaning, the good advice about the internet, the parties, the reading and learning our tables, cooking together, gardening together, the picnics out and in of the family home. Yes, we did, but I'm so tired mentally and physically that I pray for the arms of Jesus to comfort me as I have nothing left to give. Beautiful, wonderful souls don't underestimate your parents. 🙏❤️✨️

😔❤️that is true , we always believe that our parents will be there for ever , we do not want to accept or know the reality of life , however one day it will happen and that would be the hardest day of one life to let go some one who always loved you unconditionally 😔
