Yow!!! British homes are mostly made of bricks, designed to retain heat. Even with an A/C installed, very few can afford the bumboclaat electric bill!!! It ain’t dat simple bruh

San Diego says it hats off to you New Yorkers because it is currently 85° with a 58% humidity, which is a lot of humidity for San Diego. And nobody is outside unless they have to be outside unless they’re at the beach. My little house is really hot. It’s 87 in here and so we turned on the air finally so I can get the room cold off so we can finally sleep tonight.

It’s genuinely never that hot in the UK to justify AC. I have been living in the UK for 22yrs and I can count only 3 hot summers. For energy consumption and for the environment I’m not sure it’s worth it.

And before they whinge about 'our homes are built to keep in the warmth during our bitter winters!', the heat index today is 115 in Minneapolis, MN and our winters get down to around -10 to -15 fahrenheit...every 👏 single 👏 winter 👏. It's not a competition, but stop with the whining Olympics.
