My avoidant dated his ex for 3 1/2 years off and on. He said it was the most toxic relationship he had ever been in, but obviously he thrives in that because it provide provided emotional distance. Him and I had such a strong connection in every way, both physical and mentally. It was all positive. I have a good job, I own my house, I’m a very good communicator, I always apologize, and the list goes on. There is not a toxic bone in my body when it comes to a relationship. He walked away from me after telling me I am heaven sent, and how he cares about me way deeper than just sex. Will an avoidant like him realize in his head what a good woman he lost??

You so right because after we broke up I realized my dismissive avoidant actually straight up told me he had emotional detachment issues and struggles with expressing himself. I didn’t mind it at first because he still showed up and was a good partner in the beginning but we know how that ended.😅

My ex with BPD and avoidant believes she's broken the generational abuse. Whereas in reality both her and and her sister have distilled the non agressive versions of her mother's abuse into a very toxic anti man / anti help dynamic
