@workchop5: Sometimes, finding original replacement parts is impossible—but that doesn’t mean the TV can’t be saved. This LCD TV originally used a CCFL (filament) backlight, and I couldn’t get a replacement. Instead of giving up, I converted the entire backlight system to LED and installed an LED inverter to power the new backlight. The result? Brighter display, lower power consumption, and a TV that’s back to life. Every repair is different.
