I also feel that sometimes the person telling you is making it worse for drama purposes. I had a friend tell me another person hated my guts and couldn’t stand to be around me. But the person was cordial and nice. Not even a fake nice either, just genuine. Maybe they didn’t want to be my friend, but they certainly didn’t hate me as much as this friend tried to insist that they did. It felt like that friend just wanted to start drama or make me feel bad about myself.
