It’s important that we actually eat food while on this class of medication. If someone cannot figure out the food part of this journey, maybe it’s time they chat with their provider. This may not be the best option for them.

This is a potential complication of weight loss in general if you cut nutrition severely. This is why people on these medications should be given nutrition counseling and travked

There was a creator on here who was warning us about the Thiamine deficiency like a year or two ago. I liked his video to look into later but totally forgot about it 😬

It’s due to a thiamine deficiency it’s not the glp it’s the deficiency that’s causing that

The same condition occurs when people stop eating when they’re drinking.

I've had enough experience with neurolabs now to say that everything has been pretty consistent for me.

Most of the side effects can be control all doing the right thing. Go slow don't hurry to lose that weight fast.

Fun part I havent met a person on these meds who dont consistently say YOU MUST EAT 🥰 If their PCPs are not telling them the same or directing them to seek guidance from a nutritionist or just moving them up monthly because thats what trials did without observation of their progress sounds like another issue.

This is why you should only take this medication with the supervision of a doctor. I get regular checkups with bloodwork done & everything. If I’m deficient in anything I’ll know & deal with it

I’ve seen an ER Dr post thiamine deficiencies in the medication’s and he said he sees it quite a bit. More often than he used to, and I’m referring to the thiamine deficiency. He said he sees it and a lot of times their doctors aren’t diagnosing them with it because they don’t know what it is… some of the symptoms. But because he’s starting to see it more often, he runs the labs for it. But it’s not the medication again either thing the Wernicke encephalopathy that is caused by thiamine deficiency, which is caused by not getting the proper nutrition or not being able to absorb the proper nutrition. Eating is it important. We have to do that, but I also think we should make sure we are doing our labs and everythingI feel like that’s an important while we are on the medication as well. I think people who are gonna get their labs done on a regular basis or less likely to miss something like this even if this isn’t a standard lab. But maybe some of these things should be standardized labs when we are on the meds. I know for a lot of people they often get their vitamin and supplement level. Just checked before starting these and during and I think all people should get labs done anyway whether they’re on meds or not. I’m just an advocate of everyone getting regular lab work done. But I don’t think it’s gonna be a lot of click bait on this one for sure like you said. Let’s just hope it’ll bring our awareness to people and they will start to get their labs done and eat properly and all the things and take care of their bodies because we all wanna be healthy that’s the goal truly. Is it not? Thanks again, Dave for sharing all the info. We appreciate it.💗💗💗💗

So this is horrifying. Wernicks is horrifying and you should panic because a lot of the time people don’t realize it until it’s too far to fix.

The studies that persuade people to assume causation rather than correlation are getting out of hand. I also wish everyone learned to look at the sample size, methodology, statistical significance, potential conflicts of interest, and study limitations. Ty for your post.
