the Necronomicon is not a plot device specific to evil dead. it's a well known evil book that has popped up in books and movies since hp lovecraft invented it. i don't think he was a deadite.

In comics Freddy manipulates Jason to retrieve the book of the dead from The Vorhees house and try to use it to restore his power and be immortal in the real world. His glove is in the shed of evil dead 2 as well. I don’t care what they say in my mind they’re in the same universe 🤷🏽♂️

Same universe but not a deadite. Neither is Freddy and neither is jeepers creepers, and neither is the mummy from Lee cronins the mummy. All the same universe but not the same types of entities.
