@oliviasaad3: In case your dad didn’t teach you how to use a shark bite. This could’ve went better, but this old house has plumbing scaries 🥹 #plumbing #plumbingfail #incaseyourdaddidntteachyou #sharkbite #bathroomrenovation @SharkBite Plumbing
Unless you’re adding an access on the backside you shouldn’t be putting valves where they aren’t accessible

why do you want a valve buried behind the tub once you install it?

I’m conflicted, as a plumber there are so many things wrong with what you’re doing, but if homeowners are gunna YouTube/tictok how to’s. You didn’t do a bad job. But YouTube and home owners doing their own work is what keeps us in business. I mean, you advised ppl to have a bucket under their work, but literally and physically, that would be impossible, but some home owner will pay for and attempt to have a bucket under the work.

copper to pex 😳 thats a no no especially if you own the house you're homeowners insurance won't cover damages from domestic water copper to pex transition if the house was built with copper you stay with copper.😳

PEX and Shark Bites make plumbing so easy and they do hold up to the test of time for a fraction of the cost of copper. I think the negative reviews are plumbers stuck in there old ways.

Why put valves ? Now you need an ugly access panel…… change the shower valve with stops … and don’t reuse the one you just cut out 😂

Also a realtor told me one time if you put an access panel to the shut offs it'll make it more attractive to sellers.

Keep the sharkbite. As a plumber I’m just happy to see you trying. Also I’ve seen shark bites that are 25yrs old never fail so do with that as you please. Just have access and your good
