I have a basement drain that looks the same i always thought it was broken fron rust since we never pour water there except one time when my basement floated from one corner we used it drain the water out since then it has a lot of drain flies there its so gross. I hate it

The dry well was meant for limited groundwater to pool to prevent the cement floor from cracking.

If you buy a condensate pump treat it with white vinegar every couple months. It keeps clear of bacteria build up that can lead to a blockage causing water to back flow🤙🏻
