My favorite song in the show and one of my favorite episodes. It depicts society's prioritization of taste at the cost of ethical consumption. Ultimately leading people to willfully ignore where their food comes from, justifying harm, and staying ignorant for the sake of their own happiness. Yet when confronted with the truth, we can’t help but feel ashamed and disgusted. A truly beautiful episode.

When I realized how actually depressing Rick’s story is it made me look at the show soo different he chose his family over untouchable power just to have it taken away and the only way he could ever have it back was going to another reality where he is seen as a dead beat father that chose to leave.

My favorite scene was when he finally fought his arch enemy. He accomplished his life goal and he still felt empty afterwards. Thats my biggest fear. To accomplish my goals and still feel so empty. But in that episode, we got to see what happened to that woman whose husband died the same way as Beth. She started going down the same lonely and dark path as Rick but she found someone and she found her own happiness. I think it helped me cope with the fact that I lost the person I thought I loved and I started spiraling for a couple of years and now I’m embracing the fact that life is so unpredictable and that it’s ok to relax and be present with those around me instead of finding constant goals to work on as a replacement for my loneliness.
