1) it’s freezing 2) parking sucks so you end up on a packed bus or bike/scooter in the freezing weather 3) Blacksburg is gorgeous but not much to do 4) rent is so expensive 5) I drive from Richmond and it feels longer than 3 1/2 hours

Amtrak is not that expensive. There is a 4pm train, in addition to the morning train.
