true story I'm Caucasian my son is black when he was in high school he was 6'4 I was in the bulkhead aisle and he was directly behind me in the middle seat the lady next to him complained complained complained she asked the stewardess if she could move to the first class seat that was an aisle that was empty she didn't feel comfortable sitting next to my son. she stopped her moaning when she realized mama was in the row ahead and I got involved in the conversation the stewardess told the lady that she had to get permission from the captain to move to first class the stewardess came back bent over the lady spoke directly to my son and said sir the captain would like for you to move to first class it was the best feeling ever this was American airlines some people can be so disgusting

Honestly. There should have been a conversation with the ticket holder before any change was made at all. I would also be annoyed if I chose a seat specifically and it was just given away. A courtesy conversation takes less time than an argument after the fact.

Nah but I agree with the customer, the airline needs to find a way to accommodate the person in the wheelchair without inconveniencing other passengers. Asking instead of automatically moving them would go a long way
