@itsmesaramartinez: Welcome back to Parenting from a Patio Chair, where every week I’m sharing one easy outdoor activity that takes barely any setup but keeps your kid busy for a seriously long time, and this week we made frozen dinosaur eggs 🦕🧊 I watched a bunch of versions of this one and did the trial and error for you, and the secret nobody tells you is the punch balloons. Regular balloons pop while you’re filling them and the neck is too small to fit the dinosaurs through, so save yourself the frustration and grab the punching bag kind. What you need: 🦖 Punch balloons (the ones with the rubber band handle) 🦖 Small plastic dinosaurs 🦖 Water 🦖 Hatching tools: toy hammer, spray bottle with warm water, and a little salt if they get impatient How to do it: Drop a dinosaur inside the balloon Fill with water, don’t overfill or it won’t freeze solid Tie it off and freeze overnight Peel the balloon off yourself in the morning (latex bits + little kids, no thank you) Hand over the tools and let them hatch their baby dinosaurs Millie spent a full afternoon out there hatching these, and I spent that same afternoon exactly where I belong, in my patio chair.
