I cross pollinate when I dead head. I take a spent bloom and swiped the anthers and pistil on every open bloom on that same plant. This year I got lots of seeds for next year!

Do your echinacea cultivars seed true? I saw a video recently claiming that they will all eventually revert back to the usual purple coneflower—I have no idea if this is true but was hesitant to spend the money on the cultivars if it was. This is my first year with a garden 😁

Black eye Susan is a bad idea to put it with other flowers. Very aggressive and will take over the patch.
