I bet the first engine had blow by and was spitting oil out the vent line so some dummy put steel wool in the line to “baffle” the oil passing through it (dumb). Then the oil vapor hardened in the wool over time causing the complete obstruction. Just a wild guess but crazy enough to be true. 🤯

dave should post a video saying sorry for giving the tech attitude - it wasn't deserved and in the end the tech was right and the shop owner was wrong in multiple ways - I'm currently dealing with a shop owner with an attitude also - 99.9% of the time most tech's are right

I had that same problem with a truck I bought. They couldn’t figure it out. Tape clogged up the vent line. It also pushed the rear main seal out, so check for leaks on the seals.

I had a D&J and it did the same thing ,I'm honestly very upset with it bc it would leak even cleaned out. ended up putting stock back on and dropping to atmosphere and doesn't leak anymore
