This is why people don't understand nutrition, and end up with functional deficiencies in B12 iron and vitamin A. Beta carotene is not retinol. Nonheme iron is not the same as heme iron. Cyanocobalamin in fortified nutritional yeast is not the same thing as whole food B12. Continuing to treat sources like this as if they're all equal does far more harm than good.

This is the worst graphic I’ve ever seen. Tough to imagine any of the numbers or relative sizings when they aren’t even consistently scaled to their figures. Ai slop

To compare plant and animal sources side by side, your content scale (Y-axis) should be consistent and the sources sized properly on their relative content. For example, on Omega-3, flax seeds are shown to contain approximately 10x the concentration compared to salmon, yet the salmon is shown much larger.

so humans are supposed to be consuming "animal fats"? and plant fats? I thought "fats" made humans fat? that's what the medical theorists have been telling people for decades. and that's why they took fats out of food so we can have "fat free" food

Animal sources are more absorbable than plant sources, which have to be converted

Doing it by per 100g is so silly. Should do it by per 100 calories.

The balance of nature is truly profound. Consider how perfectly calibrated the biosphere is: if fish possessed a higher concentration of highly bioavailable omega-3 fatty acids, a single standard meal could inadvertently cross into toxic thresholds for humans. By maintaining this precise nutritional baseline, does nature not exhibit its own exquisite 'golden ratio' of biological compatibility?
