Parents are so quick to use their child’s disability as excuse for their unacceptable behavior. Lesson here they could have explained to their child that we do not behave like this, it’s unacceptable. They should also explain that the child or the parents could be held accountable if anyone was hurt. What we don’t do is use their disability an excuse. Having Autism is already a challenge for a child but having a behavioral problem is even more challenging. Not all autistic kids have behavioral challenges.

My son is autistic and his behavioral therapist would not put him in public unless he was able to maintain himself and a therapist would not say he’s rough housing. No never it was his mom.

we've been there lots of times. there are far too many kids running around that haven't been taught boundaries. this is why i don't let my youngest go around by herself.

The pinning down of another child with his behaviorist there and not seeing it, I’d be firing the behaviorist to be honest with you. I am so sorry that you went through this, and that the mom and the other little girl had to go to this, but if the behaviorist was doing her job. Neither one of those incidents would have happened.

my boys rough house and if someone came up to me and told me my son pinned their kid down, I'd apologize and talk with my kid and more than likely leave as that is not how we behave.

I’m sorry but this is not the child’s fault. The ABA therapist needs better training. Many people don’t understand ASD, our kids need to experience the real work to learn. Awareness is important.

I hate how parents can’t take accountability and get offended when you tell them that their kids are being rough/pushing/ shoving and being rude. If my kid misbehaves I remove instantly I am a helicopter parent for this reason.

For the first half of your story, something very similar happened to my wife and son at Sky Zone in Murrieta. Called the police and everything.

As a previous spec ed teacher and behavior specialist, that is not at all how the behavior therapist should be working with their client. Good for you for standing up for your kid and others.

very sad that someone above that workers pay grade wasn't there to help. i feel like there should be a manager that's at least late 20s/early 30s to help manage things like this. spooky tho, hope your babies are good!

rewarding bad behavior and the parent who doesn't discipline their child is why all these kids are out of control. patents need to step up and be parents.

I stopped going there cause the staff there don’t care that the older kids hurts the younger kids. Also they don’t clean the mats.

Of course, reward bad behavior because the parents don’t choose to parent, or teach accountability

I took my kids there once years ago and never went back. There were way too big of “big kids” in the TODDLER area and not one worker cared.

Also why isn’t that behavior therapist doing her job and stopping the behaviors. Especially if they know the antecedant and that kid has behavior issues
