I always ask if they have the private room. Once i stayed in a 4 bed room and gave everyone in there 30 euros to go to the bar for an hour or until we walk out.

The amount of times I’ve cracked in a cemetery just because it was right next to the hostel is insane, but land lady put cameras in the living rooms, kitchens, and the back patio, so what can you do 🤷♀️
