Speaking to Mercury TV Ghana, the victim, Yaw Boakye, popularly known as “Killer Ntua,” said the incident stemmed from an encounter earlier in the day at an okada station. According to him, a local food vendor identified as Perpetual, who is believed to be the suspect’s girlfriend, sat on his lap unexpectedly. Yaw Boakye said he immediately asked her to get up and warned her not to repeat the behavior. He claimed the woman later reported the incident to her boyfriend, identified as Enoch, also known as “Awoye.” The victim alleged that around 3:00 p.m., while returning from his farm with his parents, Enoch intercepted him with a vehicle, almost hitting him before confronting him. He further claimed the suspect attacked him with a machete while warning him to stay away from his girlfriend. Yaw Boakye also alleged that the suspect attempted to inflict more serious injuries during the confrontation, but the machete did not penetrate his body. The incident is reported to have occurred in Diaso, and the allegations are based on the victim’s account.
