I know some people don't see her as "good rep" for young Black girls because she's light skin / mixed. But my 8 and 9 yr old dark skinned cousins were absolutely devastated when they found out she wasn’t in the group anymore. They looked up to her, saw themselves in her, and she genuinely inspired them. That's something people will never fully understand unless they've seen firsthand what that kind of representation can mean to a child.
