Im not sure what she means by the rails.. so did it mean; riding out into the middle of the arena ? vs staying along the outer edge.

trail horse for taking him off the rail but unless your im a rail class EVERY SINGLE DISCIPLINE comes off the rail

my trainer was trying to help me find an eventer. found a 3 year old with "potential." I get half way around the arena at a walk snd this horse takes off bucking and I get thrown against the wall hard. get back on. get thrown again. I refuse to get back on. my dad shows up to pick me up and sees my trainer screaming at me while im all bloody and bruised. I switched trainers a week later. my new trainer was saint. never yellled at me or made me cry.

Oh my goodness. If it makes you feel better I cried almost every lesson as a kid taking lessons in exchange for work from this lady who liked to put us kids on the ponies to “put rides on” it was horrible but i learned a lot I guess😭

Used to ride with a trainer that if I messed up she would say that I “had no talent” and that I “wouldn’t get anywhere without her.” And how I just “constantly embarrassed her.” Well now I’m pro and she has been kicked out of every barn she ever worked at for being a con artist sooooo.

I took my daughter to a trainer who was female and Dutch She screamed at all the girls who rode around the arena crying This daughter is now grown up with adult children but still rides saying she learnt so much from the screamer 😳😳😳

I had a lesson scheduled with my trainer on this tiny pony one time, I had barely jumped crossrails at this point too. Well she had forgot our lesson and scheduled a two foot lesson at the same time, instead of rescheduling me she throws me and this tiny pony in with two foot people and has me jump two foot fences! I was having such a hard time and almost fell so many times I started crying and refused to jump the fences again. I changed barns after some other bad experiences with her

My coach sold my parents a 4 year old tb right off the track. First time I got on her I was told run her into the wall to stop she has no breaks. I was 11. My parents knew nothing about horses so they trusted my coach. Turns out the horse was lame forever

When I was a teenager I had a trainer who would tell me to suck in my stomach. She would also tell me I worry too much and that’s why I had zits all over my face.
