My favorite processed food fear mongering is about American cheese. Like it’s literally just cheese, usually some added whey or milk fats, and some salts as an emulsifier and people act like it’s genuinely made of plastic 😭

My favorite fact about GMOs and selective breeding in agriculture is that we can see evidence in paintings. Previous versions of produce would often be depicted in paintings, and they would capture what plants used to look like before we bred the traits we wanted. Like old watermelon used to have a lot less of the red part we eat

"The problem with processed foods" is that "organic" has no legal definition. Whereas the actual definition is r "relating to living matter". It's the same issue I have with "biological" to refer to gender.
