I have gum recession but only the bottom 4 front teeth, it looks really red and it hurts to brush and floss that area? Should I book an emergency dentist appointment? Any advice would be amazing too!!

I have inflamed gums and a decent amount of recession, dentists don’t seem to think theres anything wrong but in my opinion there is. I do however have very crowded and misaligned teeth and waiting for braces but i know the gum issues aren’t from that after it all started after sharing a drink with someone. What can i do seeing as they won’t listen to me?
