I drive for Lyft and I actually appreciate these questions. It opens communication so vibing can flow. I have some of the best convos with my passengers. Also it makes you feel more appreciated. When someone takes the time to ask about me it makes me feel more valuable than when the pretend I’m not there.

I’m a “let’s not talk unless necessary” kind of uber passenger. I get in with my headphones on and then look at my phone to indicate my desire. 95% of uber drivers pick up my vibe immediately, and we’re all good. Then there’s that 5% who try to pester a conversation out of me when I’m clearly not trying to converse, which I rarely give in to.
