LCI G30 was one of the most beautiful BMWs made since the E39 and E38. I totally agree with everything you said. Also the material quality is a huge disappointment.

Agreed with pretty much all your points. Another one i’d add is build quality/material quality/choice. It isn’t bad, but a lot of it feels like a step down from the G30, which was a step down from the F10, but at least the G30 compensated in some ways so it wasn’t exactly a downgrade. Just felt like it lost some of that Bmw magic/charm in some ways, or became more pedestrian in other words. Seems like all the newer Bmw’s are inching towards more mainstream and further (noticeable) cost cutting, shame to see

hot take: less buttons does not feel luxurious… it feels like they cheaped out by finding a way to not have to produce the buttons and switches because they can just put it all behind a shitty LCD instead. there is nothing in this BMW interior that makes it feel more elevated than a nissan
