As a fellow opera singer who burnt out hard after my masters: You will be a new teachers dream BECAUSE of your foundation. It also massively helps that you're coming back on your own to do it for you! ✨ The right teacher will feel safe and also make you feel (good) nervous before singing a piece end to end for them! I'm 4 yrs in with my teacher and I love her but get those good butterflies before singing a whole piece for her! unsolicited opera girly advice: sing for you, sing for joy! you got the goods and anyone will be lucky to have you in their studio! pick who is right for you! (also, try to get to an in person lesson if you can. zoom is great but you'll need to know the energy in the room to know how you mesh with a teacher)! Go crush it, Diva!!! ✨

don’t study with a professor, there are so many wonderful singer-teachers in NY who are not associated with academia. i think that might be a better fit for you! i have many recommendations! - a professional opera singer (3 seasons at the met)
