I’m doing cardiac and my clinical site gets about 6 patients a day, maybe 8 if it’s crazy. I’m seeing in the comments 23 patients a day. That’s crazy.

Im at my general clinical site and in these 6 months of being here I definitely don’t want to work here. But my OB site on the other hand makes me so happy im going to try so hard and get a job there

The lack of ergonomic equipment is my 1st red flag, followed by how they deal with potential add on patients. Those two tell me all I need to know to continue or to walk away.

Mine indicated non of the above and I started found out no 401k match and no PTO accruing until my 1 year also if I drove 10-15 mins out of my town to another hospital I’d make 5$ more starting out..🤨

The ideal place is somewhere that you’re scanning one patient an hour. MAYBE 2 if it’s shorter exams like soft tissue. 12 hour work day should net 12 exams. If you’re doing more than that, you’re being over worked which is okay as long as it’s not the norm.

Also ask how many patients are scheduled an hour? How many techs do you typically have working. How long are you given to complete your exam?

A big hospital I want to work at has 10K soon bonuses for a few openings 😅 but these openings have been on there for a while makes me a little nervous!! I graduate in October and just hoping to find a good workplace
