The owner of this island is sending every single resident (600 people) on Umrah. 🤯❤️ That’s not clickbait. When I visited Kudafari island in the Maldives, I learned that Mr. Siyam, the resort owner of @Sun Siyam grew up here. He is giving back now by not only building a brand new mosque but also helping the people of his island fulfill a lifelong dream by sending them to Mecca in Saudi Arabia! 🇸🇦 And that’s not all. Just two months ago, he also opened this stunning new mosque for the community. From the outside you’re surrounded by palm trees, white sand and turquoise water, but the moment you step inside, everything goes quiet. No sound of the ocean. Just peace. The level of detail is incredible. Handmade decorations, ultra-soft carpets imported from Turkey, and enough space for around 200 worshippers on an island with only about 600 residents. What surprised me most was how different it feels from the Maldives most tourists know. No infinity pools, no overwater villas, no cocktails at sunset. Just a beautiful example of a community project that will serve generations to come. Sometimes the most memorable places in the Maldives aren’t found at a luxury resort. ❤️🇲🇻 #maldives #islam #mosque
