Hi I’m 61 last year I had an 1100 dollar tax debt. 2 month ago my wife got a terminal diagnosis , I’m abn non gst , the debt has triggered pay as you go of like $450 per quarter .ive rang to halt the payg as I haven’t/ unlikely to work this financial year .im being Told because I’ve tripped the 1000$ threshold i must pay the payg no exceptions. Any ideas how I can halt and keep my abn active for the future, by the way I love your content, and hope you become the leader of the ato 😀

why just randomly blame taxes. a lot of these businesses probably were badly run and never lodged tax returns or paid tax. my business was like this. I never paid tax in 8 years.

As a small business owner, I'm in my 9th year, and I'm guessing I have another 2 or 3 years left. I've even decided to learn a trade within the construction industry, in case my business eventually goes belly up.
