yes, the greetings card was drawn by me after studying a lot of kids’ drawings. This will sound weird but if you’ve had any kind of art education, you will know that it’s ….. so much harder to draw like a child. It took mindfulness (?) and really intentional drawing, because I had to second guess every line to make sure everything I have ever been taught was abandoned. We’ve all been taught to draw the same way and prioritise realism and professionalism. BOOOOOO! This was an exceptionally fun task. I recommend. Currently, I’m really interested in any art that feels real and hand made… for obvious reasons. I’ve been inspired this month by using my hands and not my iPad. also, the naive art style, the anti-ai art style which is currently gaining traction and also getting in touch with my inner child. It’s so helpful to remember the reasons you started creating and to return to the methods, processes and materials that you’ve lost touch with. ESPECIALLY, if you have art block or AI-infused existential dread. I really recommend going back to basics. anyway, if u wanna support a human artist, there’s 2 days left to grab this bundle via my letterbox club 👀🧄 #ai #art #naiveart
