It's not true as a foreigner. You need £2000 to live comfortably in Vietnam. Any one of those cities and the Vietnamese cannot afford that kind of money, because their salaries, majority of them is not even half of what the west get. So westerners, when you go over to Vietnam, respect their work and what they do and tip them double what they charge, because it's still nothing for you. I hear all the time westerners coming up going over to vietnam and saying how cheap it is for you.It's cheap for them, it's not especially in the last 2 to 3 years
