Salafis follow Ibn Abd al Wahhab and not one of their scholars are from the salaf. They are not sunnis, rather extremists who are pretending. Ibn Abd al Wahhab is a deviant who declared practicing muslims as kafir and killed them. Erased muslim villages etc and he is an extremist who disagrees with classical scholars although his message about tawheed is of course nothing but good but every muslim already loves tawheed. This guy instead became extreme and declared a large portion of the muslim ummah as disbelievers and killed muslims. Allegedly was backed by US/UK who are litteral enemies of Islam and maybe even the Rothschild family themselves as they fought against the ottoman empire. Who of course were not free from bidah and faults but they were the only standing muslim Caliphate after that the ummah became completely divided and weak because of these wahhabis. He declared the entirety of Makkah and Madinah as Kafir Mushriks and they sieged Makkah causing starvation so the people had to eat dogs. They killed infants and women breaking the commands of Islam and he was opposed by Hanbalis as well. The Grand Shafi Mufti of Makkah refuted his ideology in 3 pages. They always follow the strictest opinion and never bring up ikthilaf. Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhabs ideology got refuted by the Grand Shafi Mufti of Makkah at the time in less than 3 pages!!. Wahhabis pretend to be ahl as sunnah but are way more extreme and follow minority opinions
