Some recipes are terribly sensible. This is not one of them. This is the sort of bake you make on a slow afternoon with the windows open, a cup of tea growing cold beside you, and absolutely no intention of sharing. A buttery peanut butter crumble, a gloriously thick layer of molten chocolate, and just enough restraint to cut them into squares before eating one straight from the tin. If you’re looking for a sign to bake something wonderfully indulgent, this is it. 🤎 Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars For the Base & Crumble • 1 (15.25 oz / 432 g) yellow cake mix • 1¼ cups (320 g) creamy peanut butter • 10 tbsp (140 g) salted butter, melted • 2 large eggs For the Chocolate Filling • 2 cups (340 g) semisweet chocolate chips • 1 (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk • 2 tsp vanilla extract Method 1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). 2. Stir together the cake mix, peanut butter, melted butter, and eggs until a thick dough forms. 3. Reserve 1½ cups of the dough for the crumble topping. 4. Press the remaining dough into a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking dish. 5. Melt the chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk until silky smooth, then stir in the vanilla. 6. Spread the chocolate over the base. 7. Dot the reserved dough over the top in little rustic crumbles. 8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. 9. Let them cool completely (the hardest part), then slice into thick, bakery-worthy squares. Save this one for the days that call for extra chocolate… which, in my experience, is most days. #PeanutButterChocolateBars #EasyDessertRecipe #ChocolateLovers #BakingTikTok #PeanutButterDessert
