All I see on my feed is people getting pushed, especially on to big waves. I hate that it's normal. It shouldn't be. You are hurting your surfing more than you realize, and you'll forever be dependent on someone when you surf. That's not even the worst part. You're not learning to read to wave, you're taking off at the wrong spot and you're standing up too early. I could go on. I don't always blame the surfer, because I know that some surf instructors insist on pushing. Many times I had to assert myself and say no when they tried to push me. But it's up to all of us to stand up and say something. Surfing isn't easy but that's not the point. It's challenging but also incredibly rewarding.. when you do it yourself. Next time you're thinking of getting pushed, I urge you to think twice. #surftok #surftips #surfeducation #surfproblems #surfing
