Trial with Error :
I work at Barnes and Noble and my eyes have been opened. I can tell you who a person is based on what they buy. Only a handful of times ive been surprised. I had a 60 year old southern white man and his wife buying ACOTAR and some non-fiction. I assumed it was for the wife. This 60 year old southern man was proud to read ACOTAR. I was flabbergasted and pleasantly surprised

I got deep into the Tudors and Plantangenents because of Phillippa Gregory's historical fiction novels. she definitely takes a lot of creative freedom but it got me so interested. Same with the Dear Diary series and The Royal Diaries series I read as a kid.

I grew up watching a bunch of movies (which are fiction) and my understanding of the world was formed by that. People just need to have common sense and ability to interpret things. Which apparently doesn’t happen anymore.

SOME of them dont like fiction cause it's a "waste of time" if not educational, but will have 20 hours of min screen time per week scrolling tik tok alone, and then turn around acting like they're better than you for it 😭

1984 by George Orwell. Technically fiction but what happened in the book is happening now and it happened in WWII. I recommend that book to EVERYONE! It’s 🤯
