![A truffle brunch that's actually worth the money. 📍𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝘆𝗮𝘁𝘁 🍵🍜🍄🟫 Nested opposite Gordon train station sits a lonely brunch corner that's got people lining up out the wazoo. It must be a popular spot. Coming from Fairfield, I am never out this way much but when I heard they got a killer truffle brunch menu… who could possibly refuse the trek? On the table: Truffle Sausage Fried Rice Truffle Creamy Charsiu Don Matcha Flight (Winter Edition) Starting off with the truffle sausage fried rice. This was absolutely phenomenal. I've never been a big believer in truffles with rice but this works. The rice is filled with diced lap cheung mushrooms, carrots and fried onions creating a really savoury and sweet medley of flavours. The truffles adds a nice rich earthiness to all of that. So good. One item that truffle definitely works with is anything creamy and they've scored a beauty with their creamy charsiu udon combination. Think rich slabs of chewy udon covered in garlic butter cream with slaps of truffle aroma hidden within each bite. Sound dreamy? Because it was. If these dishes weren't reason enough they got the matcha flight going on out here! 6 different types of matcha including their black sesame truffle flavour. This one of my favourites along with the strawberry one which livens things up. I find truffle dishes to be a bit gimmicky these days but the dishes on offer here definitely make it work.
