There’s something so satisfying about turning a few simple ingredients into something that feels this luxurious. These homemade massage lotion bars melt with the warmth of your skin, giving you that silky, velvety glide while moisturizing at the same time. And of course, I had to make them pretty too. Homemade Massage Lotion Bars 1/4 cup beeswax 1/8 cup cocoa butter 1/8 cup shea butter 1/4 cup sweet almond oil Mung beans A dash of matcha powder Lavender essential oil Chamomile essential oil I used sweet almond oil that I had already infused with lavender and chamomile, but you can use your favorite carrier oil. Melt the beeswax, cocoa butter, shea butter and carrier oil together. Pour a small amount into your silicone mold and add the mung beans. To the remaining mixture, add a dash of matcha powder and lavender and chamomile essential oils. Mix well, pour over the first layer and allow the bars to completely set before removing them from the mold. To use, simply warm the bar between your hands or glide it directly over your skin. Your body heat will soften the butters and oils while the mung beans give you that gentle massage effect. A little moisturizing, a little massage and a little at home spa moment all in one.
