@rhajel: Cause I’m aware the way I view stuff is calloused, especially in certain situations, so I genuinely don’t think I could offer proper care if put in the “right” conditions. Is being self aware on that wrong ??? #fypシ #healthcare #healthcareworker #discussion #questionoftheday
No, speaking as a healthcare professional. You are completely valid in your feelings and that’s why healthcare isn’t for everyone. Healthcare is HARD. But is rewarding. It’s not bad like that all the time but sometimes yes you get patients that are combative and angry.

as someone who works long hours in a ER hospital, ive heard it all, the insults, the threats, etc and sometimes it makes me wonder if working as a healthcare worker is even worth it. but thankfully my job place became a zero tolerance hospital so we dont deal with hostile patients.

Hey! Healthcare worker here. It takes ALOT to stick with this field physically and mentally and it’s absolutely fine to say you don’t think you have that lvl because in truth I’d rather you admit that vs almost unalive yourself or destroy yourself trying to keep up with it. It’s NOT for everybody and a majority of the time it is a thankless, exhausting, gut wretching job that will eat you from the inside of your very soul/ being/ core. And if it was a healthcare worker that said “I hope you don’t receive help in your advanced years” they are wrong for that and I hope they realize this field probably isn’t for them before it’s too late. ( I’d help you in your advanced years pookie 🥰)

as a healthcare worker, there are plenty of people in healthcare that definitely should not be in healthcare so I definitely don’t think that you should be cursed out for choosing not to be in healthcare. It takes a special kind of person not everybody has that skill and unfortunately, the people that do and aren’t working in healthcare don’t get recognized for it like they should.

no. I could never be one because of the oath they have to take. you'll never catch me saving a child predator or something along those lines but that doesn't mean I deserve to suffer. I just can't see myself being beneficial to the healthcare system in any way
