Yellow Cake with Chocolate Frosting is the first cake I ever baked but back then I used box mix and frosting from the tub. It was good then and box mix has its place but this beauty is made entirely from scratch! The cake layers are buttery and soft with that deep vanilla flavor and I used my classic fudge frosting (if you haven’t made it, you’re missing out!) that’s thick and chocolatey and soooo smooth and rich.
