Achilles isn’t canonically a twink for a few reasons: 1. He didn’t make the decision to hide in Skyros disguised as a woman, his mother did. 2. He never truly became feminine in desires, as is shown when Odysseus brings gifts to Lycomedes and Achilles gravitates towards to weaponry as opposed to the jewelry. 3. Literally his entire characterization in the Illiad. Also, if anyone tries to bring up Song of Achilles to back their point, Song of Achilles is closer to a poorly written fanfic than it is to a substantive addition to the Greek mythos.

exactly why I won't see it. Its not Odyssey, its some Hollywood mock up. Achilles was described as the most fearless of the Troy warriors. Imposing and intimidating. Elliot Page is none of those things. But thats nothing to do with why I won't see it. If Hollywood touches a historical book or story, I am generally out. People are only praising this rendition because Page is in it. Reviews are mixed as to how well Page actually acted in this as well. So the bit that has people gawking isn't even a definitively class performance.
